PLEASE TALK TO PEOPLE DO NOT LEAVE MESSAGES.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ - ALWAYS CHECK YOU ARE WORKING FROM THE LATEST ISSUE OF THE CAPTAINS LIST - ALSO - WE URGE ALL CLUBS TO TELL THE LEAGUE SECRETARY IMMEDIATELY OF ANY CHANGE OF TEAM CAPTAINS SO THAT THIS LIST IS ALWAYS UP TO DATE

The list of Squad Captains can change daily so always refer to the latest page as listed above before contacting your opponents for any given match. The latest version number is given on the MENU TAB you click on to get here.

Due to the very real risk of bad weather at the start of each season a number of matches have to be cancelled at very short notice.

Because of this it was not always possible to find the right person to notify in these cases.
This resulted in some teams traveling away only to find the match abandoned when they arrive.
To overcome this and talk directly to the correct person we have a list of Squad (Team) Captains.

Therefore if you need to cancel a match at short notice, for any reason, these are the individuals to contact first.

PLEASE NOTE: Do not contact before 11.00am if checking if a match is to be cancelled.
Give the clubs time to evaluate the greens please.

It has come to the attention of the Executive Committee that Team Captains have on occasions left messages informing other Club Captains that a match is cancelled due to weather conditions.

These have been left during the morning of the match resulting in them not being picked up and teams turning up to play.

We think it unreasonable to expect members to pick up messages at short notice and urge Captains wishing to cancel matches to make every effort to speak to someone personally even if from another team in the club concerned.

They will know other members of the teams to contact and hopefully prevent accidents.

PLEASE TALK TO PEOPLE DO NOT LEAVE MESSAGES.
